Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, manage treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy, a valid California license, and preferably experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care

Job Summary

  • The Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats residents, communicates with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members, and maintains accurate documentation of therapy services in the medical record.
  • The Occupational Therapist also provides ongoing in-service education and training to facility staff to support resident outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to stand and/or walk very frequently, sit occasionally, reach with hands and arms frequently, and push and pull very frequently.
