Job Summary

  • Clinical pharmacists are responsible for optimizing pharmacotherapy regimens, ensuring safe patient care practices, and advocating for evidence-based medicine within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • They will conduct daily medication therapy reviews, consults, and other clinical services for patients within designated area(s) of responsibility or targeted populations served such as med-surg, telemetry, oncology, pediatrics, critical care, or emergency medicine.

Key Requirements

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or Pharm.D.)
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 3 years hospital experience
  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, pharmacist in Iowa
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire
  • ACLS and/or PALS certification within 3 months of hire
  • BPS Board Certification within 2 years of hire
