Job Summary

• Performs laboratory procedures to obtain results for physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using established protocols that require the broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
• Accurately performs any high complexity, moderate complexity or waived laboratory testing in the assigned testing division, which may require the broad exercise of independent judgment to include the use of advanced clinical laboratory instrumentation and equipment according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Confirms, verifies and reports test results independently, monitors results for reasonableness and critical values, and correlates and interprets data generated from testing.
