4-H Camp Shehaqua is seeking a lifeguard to oversee waterfront activities and ensure water safety during the camp's scheduled programs. The ideal candidate must possess relevant certifications and experience while being able to engage with diverse groups of campers and staff
Job Summary
The lifeguard oversees all waterfront activities, including water safety and swim tests, plans and implements waterfront programming to engage campers and foster character development and promote healthy lifestyles.
Responsibilities include leading and supervising aquatic activities, maintaining equipment, initiating a water safety program, training staff, and preventing incidents.
This is a part-time wage appointment at $15/hour for actual guarding time, with room and board provided during the camp week.

Must be 21 years old for Senior Lifeguard
Must be 18 years old for Junior Lifeguard
Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification
First Aid/CPR required
Current Water Safety Instructor certification
Minimum one year experience as certified lifeguard
