Job Summary

  • This role will drive the vision for automation application and practices as well as advanced test development applications while providing regional leadership and planning for the introduction of automation for new product development and existing manufacturing as part of a global Automation COE.
  • Senior Automation AME Leader is responsible for working with our MR Magnet business to identify, define, develop, and deliver automation applications utilizing key suppliers and integrators in deploying solutions for existing product lines, NPI’s (New Product Introductions) and product transfers.
  • The scope of Automation Processes includes Electronics Assembly Automation, Collaborative Robots (Universal Robots, Omron, Fanuc, ABB...), Fixed automation, digital torque, Visual 2 & 3D Inspection, OEE, digital dash boards, Autonomous Intelligent Vehicles (AIV’s), Data Collection, AI, general automation technologies, integration of PLC’s, HMI’s, Motion, and supporting our Brilliant Factory initiatives by connecting the physical process to digital information.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Automation, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in automation technologies
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale modernization and automation projects
  • Expertise in PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, and cloud technologies
  • Strong understanding of OT/IT integration, cybersecurity, and data analytics
  • Project management skills with internal/external integrators
  • Demonstrated electro-mechanical design skills
  • Experience developing technical documents
  • Demonstrated experience with tester/automation development
  • Demonstrated depth of LabVIEW or C++ or Python programming skill
  • Experience with controls automation design and safety standards
  • Willing to travel domestic and internationally up to 25%
