The Historical Society is seeking a Temporary Museum Interpreter for Pawnee Bill Ranch to engage with visitors, conduct tours, and perform various museum duties. This part-time position offers a pay rate of $13.00 an hour and requires weekend availability

Job Summary

  • Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities.
  • Prepares for public programs/presentations and exhibitions/displays relating to the site's mission statement, giving tours through the historic home and providing information on the site history.
  • Performs museum duties, including cash register operation, securing, and processing revenue according to policy and procedure, taking inventory and stocking museum store merchandise.
