Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Current MA certification from AMT, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP, or NHA
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS coding conventions
  • Working knowledge of medical practice management systems
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards

Nice-to-have

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Two years of Medical Assisting experience
  • Champion of Lean principles and continuous improvement
  • Experience in orthopedic or pediatric specialties

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year of experience required for NHA candidates via work experience
  • Must not have been employed by St. Charles Health System in the last 6 months
