  • This position is responsible for overseeing all training components relating to staff members of the Department of Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness (DSSEP) and reports to the Captain of Operations.
  • Responsibilities include developing and delivering classroom and hands-on training in a wide range of public safety topics, managing personnel, and overseeing the department’s Field Training program.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Six years law enforcement experience
  • Three years as a full-time Training Instructor
  • Valid Class E Florida Driver’s license
  • Florida General Instructor Techniques
  • Field Training Officer certification
  • Incident Command System (ICS) certification
  • Investigative Interviews certification
  • SWAT – Basic certification
