Job Summary

• The NC Department of Adult Correction is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.
• The Chief Probation/Parole Officer supervises staff, coordinates unit workflow, manages daily operations, and makes decisions about offender supervision, including case assignments, workflow coordination, scheduling, time tracking, and staff training.
• This role requires the ability to quickly analyze crisis situations, provide immediate responses, and develop specialized control strategies independently, with a flexible schedule that includes regular 8-5 hours and 24/7 availability for emergency calls.
