Job Summary

  • The Atlantic Center for Ambulatory Surgery works collaboratively with Nova Scotia Health, the IWK Health Centre, and community oral surgery clinics to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered ambulatory surgical care to Nova Scotians.
  • The Surgical Operating Room Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and efficient peri-operative care in both scrub and circulating roles while promoting professional standards and self-evaluation.
  • This position offers permanent, part-time hours of 48 hours bi-weekly, Monday to Friday from 0730 to 1530, with compensation at $50.29 hourly.

Key Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing school
  • Eligible for Nova Scotia College of Nursing registration
  • One year recent Operating Room experience or post graduate OR course or OR certification
  • BLS-C (HCP) certification
  • Recent experience in Orthopedics, Plastics, Oral Surgery, Pediatric care
