Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics engineering
  • Eligible to work full-time in Canada for 8-12 months
  • Willingness to work onsite at Oshawa plant with flexible hours
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and manage safety compliance
  • Knowledge of Robotic Automation and PLC based control systems

Nice-to-have

  • Strong interpersonal skills for diverse team collaboration
  • Experience with Fanuc Robotics and Rockwell/AB PLCs
  • Familiarity with GM Workplace Safety System imperatives
  • Previous experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Certified OEM training programs in robotic integration

Key Requirements

  • 3rd or 4th year Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics engineering
  • Must be eligible to work full-time in Canada for consecutive semesters starting September 2026
  • No sponsorship required; candidates must not need visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Completion of GM standard controls certification training (e.g., CCS1, CCH1) preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Labour requirements and Occupational Health and Safety Act
