Job Summary
The mission of Caring Canines is to enhance the patient experience through the therapeutic benefits of a Visiting Therapy Animal Program.
Volunteers in this role will provide canine visits to patients, caregivers, and staff throughout the facility in our New York and New Jersey locations.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Registered therapy dog
Weekly shift commitment
Minimum 6 months commitment
Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Nice-to-have
Engaging with patients and families
Excellent interpersonal skills
Key Requirements
Age 18+
Canine vaccinations up to date
Negative fecal test within 12 months
Canines cannot eat a raw diet
Canines must be bathed within 24-48 hours
Out of active treatment for at least one year (if former/current MSK patient)
