  • UMPD is seeking dynamic individuals that exhibit good character, sound judgment, honesty, reliability and integrity combined with excellent communication skills to serve the University of Maryland community.
  • This is a regular non-exempt position with a full benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription Plans, Tuition reimbursement program for employee and dependents, and Law Enforcement Officers of the State of Maryland Pension System (LEOPS).

Key Requirements

  • non-provisional police officer certification through Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission or comparable
  • valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver’s license
  • 21 years of age upon graduation from Police Academy

  • vision correctable to 20/20 in each eye
  • not convicted of a felony
