  • The Special Educator is responsible for SoonerStart, Oklahoma’s early intervention program designed to meet the needs of families with infants and toddlers (ages birth to 3 years old) with developmental delays and/or disabilities.
  • Services are provided in the child’s natural environment settings in which children typically spend time, for example, home or childcare.

Salary

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education
  • One year post-baccalaureate teaching experience (Level II)
  • Master's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field (Level III)
  • Two years post-baccalaureate teaching experience (Level III)
