The ideal candidate should possess a Health Care Aide Certificate, CPR certification, and be willing to undertake additional training in crisis intervention and suicide prevention
Job Summary
The Psychiatric Nursing Attendant attends to the basic, physical care needs of the patient on the unit while observing and reporting observations to the nurse.
The role requires assisting patients with activities of daily living such as meals, personal hygiene, dressing, elimination, and mobility in a manner that respects individual dignity.
Employees must be willing to complete and practice Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
