Job Summary
The role involves conceptualizing and final optical design including tolerance analyses for multispectral high performance lenses and continuous zoom optics.
You will develop zoom optics for cooled thermal imaging devices in the mid and long-wave infrared range as well as multispectral zoom optics with dichroic beam splitters.

Must-have
optical system design with CodeV or Zemax
development of multispectral zoom optics
Fourier optics and wave optical analysis
design of infrared optics (3–5 µm and 8–12 µm)
use of Python or MATLAB for simulations
Nice-to-have
experience with achromatic multi-chip cameras
development of Off Axis multi-mirror systems
teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
fluent German and English communication
Key Requirements
Master’s degree or PhD in technical optics, physics, mathematics or related
proven experience in optical design with CodeV or Zemax
