Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Developmental Social Worker Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario Class G or G2 Driver's license
  • Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening
  • First Aid & CPR with Defibrillation training
  • Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention Certification

Nice-to-have

  • Medication administration training and experience
  • Lift and transfer training and experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships

Key Requirements

  • Completion of 2-year post-secondary program in Developmental Social Work or Human Services
  • Minimum one year of experience with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Current First Aid & CPR with Defibrillation certification
  • Current Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening
  • Valid Ontario Class G or G2 Driver's license with current abstract
