Key Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • HS diploma or educational equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License with no more than five (5) points
  • Frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, reaching
  • Assist with lifting/moving individuals
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Physical capacity for emergency interventions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to document services for billing
  • Enthusiasm for working with people with I/DD
  • Ability and willingness to assist with ADLs
  • Regular exposure to and handling of bodily fluids
  • Basic computer skills
  • Hold or obtain and maintain required certifications and trainings within 120 days
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours/shift
  • Work on holidays, in inclement weather or during emergencies
  • Work or life experience supporting people with I/DD
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
