PATH is seeking a Veterinary Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for the STRIDES Project in Indonesia, aimed at enhancing surveillance and detection of zoonotic diseases. Job Summary

  • PATH seeks a Veterinary Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Project to support and strengthen surveillance, detection and analytical capacity of infectious diseases across both human and animal health.
  • The advisor will support the implementation of surveillance activities under the STRIDES program, including animal health and zoonotic disease surveillance in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and other GHS partners.
  • Responsibilities include leading the development, coordination, and implementation of surveillance activities, working with Government of Indonesia counterparts, and strengthening national and subnational animal and human infectious disease surveillance capacity.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree or its International Equivalent in Knowledge/Information in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine or related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant international experience
  • Experience working on large USG-funded projects
  • Experience working with and implementing iSIKHNAS, EWARS, and SIZE surveillance systems
  • Strong experience in One Health, zoonotic diseases, surveillance systems, public health, and outbreak investigation and control in Indonesia
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience with DHIS2 use and tool development
  • Prior experience in animal health, zoonotic diseases, or multisectoral collaborations required
