Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Valid driver's license with MVR check
  • 5+ years professional field biology experience
  • Ability to traverse rugged terrain up to 5 miles daily
  • Experience with Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
  • Proficiency in Waters of the U.S. delineations

Nice-to-have

  • Certified Wildlife Biologist or Professional Wetland Scientist certification
  • USFWS Section 10 recovery permit for protected species surveys
  • Prior experience with water resources and ecological fieldwork in Texas
  • Demonstrable technical report writing skills
  • Availability for overnight and extended travel
