The incumbent must monitor infection control practices to ensure all personnel implement standard operating procedures for tasks involving exposure to blood or body fluids.
This position requires participating in surveys of possible carriers among residents and personnel while tracing sources of infection within the facility.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Current active RN license required
Knowledge of CDC and OSHA regulations
Experience with infectious disease protocols
Ability to conduct infection surveillance
Proficiency in aseptic technique
Nice-to-have
APIC certification preferred
PCC knowledge preferred
Long-term care facility experience
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Experience with TB management programs
Key Requirements
Nursing degree from accredited college
2+ years experience in long term care
Active state RN license
Current CPR certification
Working knowledge of epidemiology and microbiology
