The Senior Calibration Technician is responsible for leading, scheduling, and conducting a variety of activities that involve the comparison of measurement devices of unknown accuracy to a measurement device of known accuracy in order to detect, correlate, and report any variations in the accuracy of the device being compared

Job Summary

  • The Senior Calibration Technician is responsible for leading, scheduling, and conducting a variety of activities that involve the comparison of measurement devices of unknown accuracy to a measurement device of known accuracy in order to detect, correlate, and report any variations in the accuracy of the device being compared.
  • Expertly use Calibration equipment, understand requirements, and perform calibrations on machinist hand tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Pin Gages, Thread Plugs, Thread Rings, and Height Gages) and manufacturing equipment to ISO-9000, ANSI Z540-1, and QS-9000 requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Five (5) years of quality control, manufacturing or metrology experience
  • Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing ISO9001/AS9100 environment
  • Calibration Requirements for Ovens, Measuring Equipment, pressure and flow gages
  • Interpreting complex engineering part drawings
  • Blueprint reading
  • Able to work overtime and flexible hours
  • Pass Ishihara’s Test for Color Deficiency
  • Minimum 20/25 vision (with correction)
  • Lift a minimum of 35 pounds daily
