Job Summary

  • As the Engineering Wind Technician UFS (Universal Fleet Solutions), you will be supporting our customers with non GE Vernova units.
  • You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on wind turbines, perform maintenance, and mentor junior technicians.
  • This role requires 100% travel within the United States and the ability to handle repetitive weight and climb towers up to 300 feet daily.

Must-have

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
  • Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts
  • Work with Resource Managers and Site Leadership
  • Interpret technical manuals and repair procedures
  • Use safety equipment for working at heights

Nice-to-have

  • Mentor and provide OJT to junior technicians
  • Experience with Vestas, Gamesa, Siemens, Acciona, Nordex
  • Working knowledge of rigging practices
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical torque tooling
  • Ability to take initiative and work without supervision

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Senior Wind Technician
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel 100% of time
  • Meet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs
