The Principal Data Steward role is accountable for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and usability of scientific data across laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing systems to support R&D decision making and manufacturing scale-up.
This role involves defining data stewardship processes, coordinating data curation activities, implementing data quality checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable harmonized and traceable datasets.

Data stewardship processes for CMC data
Coordination of data aggregation and curation
Implementation of data-quality checks
Collaboration with ontology and data engineering teams
Use of lab and manufacturing systems like ELN, LIMS, SAP, MES
Scripting proficiency in Python and SQL

Experience with ontology-driven data models
Pharmaceutical research and development experience

Key Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Data Science or related field
3+ years experience in data stewardship or laboratory informatics
3+ years business experience with CMC laboratory and manufacturing data systems
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and SQL
Experience working with ontology-driven data models
Preferred 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical data stewardship
