Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this job is to assist in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Essential duties include accurately and safely preparing, administering, and documenting oral and/or topical medications, and observing and verifying that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
  • The role requires participation in Quality Assurance programs and continuing education to maintain certification and stay abreast of changes in the profession.
