Job Summary

  • Positions in this job family are involved in providing religious services, counseling and guidance to patients, inmates, residents, students, family members or coworkers in a state hospital, institution or facility.
  • At this level employees are assigned responsibility for directing and participating in religious programs at a state facility, including supervision of other religious activities staff.
  • Employees will provide religious assessment reports, participate in treatment planning, and consult with staff in carrying out an overall therapy program.

Key Requirements

  • Master's degree in divinity, theology or religious education and three years of professional clergy experience with endorsement
  • Bachelor's degree in religion, theology, or religious education and four years of professional clergy experience with endorsement
  • Eight years of professional clergy experience with endorsement
  • Endorsement from respective faith community required
