Safe Tsystem is seeking Engineering Support Specialist Interns to join their Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University. The position focuses on innovative research and development in electronic materials and devices, requiring students to work both during the semester and over the summer

Job Summary

  • Join a team of scientists and engineers performing a wide range of fundamental and applied research and development projects involving semiconductor, optical and piezoelectric materials synthesis, materials characterization, electronic device processing, and sensor fabrication and testing.
  • Students typically work 5-10 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours per week over the summer, with schedules determined based on classes and other academic obligations.
  • ARL/Penn State’s purpose is to develop innovative solutions to challenging national problems in support of the Navy, DoD, and Intel communities engineering and technology needs.
