Job Summary

  • The Nursing Professional Development Specialist-System will have primary responsibility for developing and implementing tools, theories, skills, and knowledge of nursing professional development to improve the evidence-based practice of clinical staff throughout MultiCare Health System.
  • This position operates independently under limited supervision and involves work situations with an emphasis on assessment of practice gaps, identification of learning needs, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license in Washington State
  • Minimum four (4) years of nursing experience
  • ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred
  • PhD in Nursing, DNP, or ARNP preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years Program management experience preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years previous experience as unit educator, system educator, NPD Specialist/Generalist preferred
