Job Summary

  • The operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and controlling general operations at the branch by guiding, monitoring, controlling and planning for resources and ensuring that all branch activities are aligned to internal controls.
  • He/She will be responsible for ensuring proper implementation and execution of the new strategic plan through leadership and supervision of branch operations.
  • The operations manager reviews credit methodology and new product development, motivates branch teams, helps support social impact and social performance plans and alignment with VFR in the field and ensures proper and timely execution of the strategy in the branches.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Management experience of at least 5 to 8 years
  • experience in microfinance institutions
  • direct responsibility for a region or significant number of branches
  • Significant experience managing a group of branch managers
  • Proven track record of growing operations
  • Demonstrated skills in managing performance based on metrics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing credit policy
  • Ability to analyse data, think critically and solve operational issues
  • Familiar with impact-driven microfinance operations
  • Experience in similar international networks
