It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
The cook must maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner while preparing tasteful meals and special diets accurately.
The position includes supervisory responsibilities, assisting with meal service, and participating in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year cook experience in hospital or long term care
Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate
Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred
Must remain in good standing with Department of Public Health
