The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) seeks a full-time Instructor of Music specializing in orchestra and string instruments to provide in-person music instruction to high school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music pedagogy, conducting, and a commitment to community engagement in music education
Job Summary
NCSSM fosters an environment of collaboration across departments and divisions and supports community-engaged service and research.
The instructor will serve as artistic director and conductor of the NCSSM Durham String and Symphony Orchestra, select and rehearse level-appropriate repertoire for performing groups, and direct the group during regular public performances.
