Job Summary

  • A phlebotomist is expected to have a well-rounded skill set of venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all demographic types while adhering to the order of draw and ensuring proper patient identification.
  • Minimizing recollects due to QNS, hemolysis, mislabeling, or improper tube collect is our common goal.
  • Perform I.V. line starts for blood draw and cap for future I.V. use and respond to codes, traumas, and rapid responses to obtain blood samples, administer chest compressions, and assist in CPR if needed.
