  • The Acoustic Engineer will build and run NVH simulation models of gearbox systems to predict noise and vibration and create clear design recommendations to achieve noise reduction targets.
  • This position partners with design engineering to translate NVH insights into practical design changes and deliver quieter, more reliable gear drives for commercial and marine drives.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • NVH simulation modeling
  • Gearbox noise and vibration analysis
  • Use of NVH software Romax or Actran
  • Gear/shaft/bearing/housing dynamics evaluation
  • Noise reduction design recommendations
  • Correlation of simulation with test data

Nice-to-have

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software
  • Knowledge of AGMA, API and MIL specifications
  • Experience in marine gear drive design
  • Technical report and presentation preparation
  • Team knowledge sharing and coaching

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in acoustics or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 4 years NVH or machinery dynamics experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD clearance
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Experience with NVH/CAE tools like Romax or Actran
