Job Summary

  • This position supports the mission of performing electronic materials failure analysis and component evaluation for complex custom microcircuits and cables.
  • The role requires determining the root cause of failures using specialized laboratory equipment including digital photo-documentation, SEM-EDS, and Sono-scan.
  • Candidates will write final reports substantiating failure conclusions and may be required to present data and findings to stakeholders.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Electronic component failure analysis experience
  • Microcircuit and active/passive component analysis
  • Root cause determination using SEM-EDS and Sono-scan
  • Knowledge of ceramics, glasses, wire bonding, and soldering
  • Ability to perform destructive testing and electrical tests

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with RF device and interconnect testing
  • Strong data collection and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on parallel analyses effectively
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and technical drawings
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Material Science

Key Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required prior to start date
  • Active and transferable Secret security clearance required
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Advanced Degree
  • Ability to obtain interim security clearance before start
