Job Summary
Provides interpreting and other support service for deaf and hearing-impaired students to facilitate communication among hearing-impaired students and their hearing peers, classroom teachers, and other personnel.
Interacts in a professional manner with students, parents, and teachers and provides services for conferences according to District policies.
Adheres to RID Code of Ethics as it applies to the educational setting and provides tutoring and/or note-taking services when necessary.

Georgia Quality Assurance Screening (G-QAS) Level III or higher
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) national certification
National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Levels III, IV, or V
Educational Interpreters Performance Assessment (EIPA) Level 3.5 or higher
