The primary purpose of this position is to assist in directing the facility's social service programs to ensure residents' medically related emotional and social needs are met.
Employees must coordinate social service activities with other departments and assist residents in achieving the highest practicable level of self-care and independence.
The role requires maintaining strict confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information while reporting any suspected fraud or unauthorized disclosures.
