Job Summary

  • The Patient Support Technician functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in partnership with and under supervision of the Registered Nurse utilizing principles of Relationship-based Care.
  • Provides basic bedside care and selected procedures under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, including venipuncture, 12 lead EKG, and respiratory care.
  • This position is eligible for a $4000 sign on bonus and offers part-time day shift employment.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification program with Medical/Surgical rotation OR EMT certification OR equivalent work experience
  • Six months direct patient care experience within past 5 years OR completion of Medical/Surgical clinical rotation OR completion of Patient Care Technician program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • EMT licensure in State of Michigan (if applicable)
