Job Summary

  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiochemical equipment and instrumentation, including Liquid Scintillation Counters, Gas-Flow Proportional (GPC) counting systems, High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detectors, Alpha spectrometry systems & other general laboratory equipment.
  • Perform subject matter expert duties on one or more radiochemistry processes including method optimization & qualification, training material and procedure development.
  • This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or related scientific or engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in wet chemistry, elemental chemistry, separations chemistry or radiochemistry
  • Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge
