Job Summary

  • It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
  • The cook must maintain kitchen and cooking areas in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner and prepare tasteful meals including special diets accurately.
  • The cook assists with serving meals, reports resident care concerns, and participates in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
