Job Summary

  • Provides leadership and coordination in support of Toronto Shelter & Support Services (TSSS)’s Divisional work plan and the Strategic priorities as it applies to the portfolio.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective service delivery in achieving equitable outcomes in housing and homelessness programs and services.
  • Upholds and promotes harm reduction and housing first principles and practices in all initiatives employing an equity and diversity lens.

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data
  • Experience supervising in a social services environment
  • Experience managing programs with legislative compliance
  • Experience building partnerships with community agencies
  • Highly developed conflict resolution, problem solving, and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of current issues in homelessness, social work, mental health, substance use
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Collective Agreements, OH&S Act, MFIPPA, PHIPA, Shelter Standards)
