It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
The cook must maintain kitchen and cooking areas in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner while preparing tasteful meals and special diets accurately.
The position requires participation in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff and cooperation with personnel in all departments.

Key Requirements

Minimum one year cooking experience in hospital or long term care

Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred
Must remain in good standing with Department of Public Health
