Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas
Masters of Social Work degree from accredited program
Experience with DSM V and ICD-10 manuals
Acute inpatient hospital social work experience
Knowledge of utilization management and managed care
Nice-to-have
ACM certification from American Case Management Association
Experience with pre-acute and post-acute care
Strong therapeutic communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently within interdisciplinary teams
Experience with child abuse and domestic violence cases
Key Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Masters of Social Work program (MSW)
Current license as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas
Preferred ACM certification from American Case Management Association
Field placement or internship in health services required
Working knowledge of payer issues and community resources
