Job Summary

  • The DEMS/EMT provides prehospital care and/or transport to individuals of sudden illness or injury in the designated service and hospitals areas of the DEMS system.
  • The EMT demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all ages, inclusive of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • The EMT shall report to work on-time and in appropriate uniform, ensuring completion of all necessary documentation.
