Job Summary
This role is part of the Operation Center in Chennai, a global value chain optimizing engineering support for Hitachi Energy customers worldwide.
The engineer will be responsible for system design, primary and secondary side design, and providing installation drawings for HVDC substations.
Candidates must ensure adherence to safety standards while interacting with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical
2-4 years experience (BSc) or 3-6 years (Diploma)
Knowledge of HVDC and UHV AC Substation design standards
Proficiency in Unigraphics NX/TC Tool for 3D modeling
Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE software for layout design
Nice-to-have
Exposure to Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Prior experience in HVDC projects
Strong technical communication skills with customers
Ability to prepare Bills of Materials and estimates
Key Requirements
BE/BTech (Electrical or Mechanical) with 2-4 years exp
Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical) with 3-6 years exp
Proficiency in English language
Knowledge of applicable design guidelines and standards
