Job Summary

  • The certified nursing assistant is responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; and responds to inquiries or requests for information.
  • Provides individualized attention to residents and is knowledgeable of their individualized care plan, attending to their needs including grooming, bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe, neat and clean environment, protects personal belongings, promptly reports missing items, and observes residents for changes in condition or behavior, reporting these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
