Ecolab is seeking a Lead Specifications Analyst for its Global High Tech team in Naperville, Illinois. The role focuses on mechanical engineering and project management to optimize costs and ensure the resilience of data center hardware systems

Job Summary

  • Serve as engineering technical expert for the alternate supplier qualifications including specification analysis, commercial impacts, conducting initial impact assessment from the relevant technical aspects, SME coordination and approvals.
  • Lead Operational Innovation (OI) project management for new supplier approvals, substitution and consolidation projects to enable growth, cost optimization, and security of supply.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with 6 years of experience
  • Masters’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with 4 years of experience
  • Experience creating 3D models and associated 2D drawing prints and specifications
  • Experience authoring engineering change requests
  • Project management experience
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and personal accountability
