Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 5 years progressively responsible experience in automobile and diesel repair
  • Knowledge of diesel and gasoline-powered engines
  • Ability to overhaul, rebuild and repair all types of engines
  • Skill in use of diagnostic equipment, grinding machines, hoisting, and welding equipment
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload tools up to 75 lbs

Nice-to-have

  • Strong communication skills with campus community and co-workers
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Experience with preventative maintenance inspections

Key Requirements

  • Completion of sufficient education or training to read and write
  • Five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in automobile and diesel repair work
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
