Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Four years experience with ages 3-5
  • Implement IEP and behavior plans
  • Pass background checks and TB screenings
  • Lift minimum 40 lbs independently

Nice-to-have

  • Special education experience infancy to third grade
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education
  • Knowledge of Montessori pedagogy principles
  • Experience in low-income communities
  • Local community knowledge

Key Requirements

  • Age 18 with high school diploma or GED
  • Four+ years professional experience as aide/assistant/teacher for ages 3-5
  • Proficiency or fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to pass state-mandated background checks and TB screenings
  • Experience implementing strategies from IEPs or student support plans
