This role involves leading the Engineering Productivity & Cloud Infrastructure team to serve as the platform for all other engineering pods at Baton.
The successful candidate will own a 12–18 month roadmap that compounds leverage across the organization while balancing startup speed with enterprise constraints.
Baton offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $250,000 - $275,000, annual bonuses, and long-term incentives.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
8+ years engineering experience
4+ years managing software or infra engineers
AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure expertise
CI/CD and observability tooling knowledge
Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi/Terraform)
Enterprise security and networking experience
Nice-to-have
Experience scaling EngProd from scrappy to durable
Background in startup-within-an-enterprise environments
Familiarity with Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, Flink
Knowledge of supply chain or freight technology
Track record improving org-wide engineering velocity
Key Requirements
8+ years total engineering experience
4+ years direct management of technical teams
Proven track record owning multi-quarter technical roadmaps
Strong foundation in cloud infrastructure and security
