Job Summary

  • You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the medical equipment that clinicians depend on every day.
  • The Director of Clinical Engineering provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and regulatory accountability for all clinical engineering services across UCLA Health System.
  • The Director ensures compliance with Joint Commission, Department of Public Health, FDA, and other regulatory standards while optimizing equipment reliability, cost control, and patient safety.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years progressive clinical engineering experience
  • 5+ years management or supervisory experience

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Proven experience leading regulatory audits
  • Experience overseeing medical equipment lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated financial management experience
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts
